XArena Motor Sports (XMS) is a limited liability company owned by a group of successful businessmen in the New York, New Jersey area. The company will construct, own, and operate the facility.
Clayton
Keeler - President
Clayton
Keeler is the founder, co-owner and president of XArena Motor
Sports. He will have ultimate responsibility for all operations.
Mr. Keeler will collaborate with the managers in the creation
of promotional and operational approaches and will oversee those
approaches' implementation.
Mr.
Keeler has extensive experience as a motocross rider at the highest
levels. National ranked as a 250cc Pro Sportsman (National
No. 362) and competing in Veteran Pro Expert and Senior Pro Expert
events. In addition to his racing accomplishments he has
organized and managed a race team for East Coast Kawasaki Suzuki,
one of the largest organized teams on the east coast. Mr.
Keeler has over a decade's experience as a successful business
owner of Keeler-Blum Corporation (residential development) and
Witherspoon, Inc. (engineering and construction). He has been
an advisor to New Jersey Off-Road Vehicle Park and manager of
development, implementation, and construction of the private Lumberton
Motocross Park. His
career's worth of experience in engineering and management, with
specific experience in motocross, have been proven to indicate
a solid leader.
James
J. Kennedy - Executive Vice President,
Government Relations
James
Kennedy's responsibilities will include the coordination of governmental
issues related to the development of the XArena facilities throughout
the United States. Kennedy was elected by the voters of
Rahway, New Jersey to his first term as Mayor in 1990. Kennedy
moved to restore the city’s fiscal stability, completely overhauling
municipal services and expenses. By reducing expenditures and
working to increase revenues that were not dependent on property
taxes, Rahway enjoyed one of New Jersey’s most stable property
tax rates since 1991.
Kennedy was reelected by wide margins in 1994 and 1998.His administration
spearheaded the first state-of-the-art recreation center in the
city’s history. The recreation center was joined by a privately-funded
indoor soccer and athletic center in the fall of 1999. In August
2001, the city broke ground on a new, $15 million library and
office complex adjacent to the recreation center. Holding
a true passion for motorcycles and still being an avid enthusiast
today, Mr. Kennedy will consult with Mr. Keeler on governmental
issues related to the XArena facility in New Jersey as well as
coordinating the governmental issues relating to additional facilities
throughout the country. Mr. Kennedy further compliments an already
strong management team to take XArena into the future.
Gregory
Turner - Vice President
Greg
Turner will have direct day-to-day responsibility for property
managing all facets of the sports complex. He will collaborate
with Mr. Keeler on the development of new and existing businesses
and maintenance the established businesses within the XArena and
its peripheral buildings.
Mr.
Turner brings to XArena Motor Sports more than twenty-three years
of experience in the motorcycle and bicycle industry and carries
extensive experience in many forms of bicycle and motorcycle racing.
In the late 80’s, Mr. Turner was National ranked 91 in the premier
250cc motocross class. After
working in various capacities within the motorcycle industry,
Mr. Turner developed and sold his own successful bicycle shop
in Somerville, New Jersey, where he had the opportunity to master
a very deep understanding of the sport, and the business behind
it. Mr. Turner's bicycle and motorcycle industry experience, combined
with his proven management techniques, are a true asset to XArena.
The Arena's transition into BMX in the future will be seamless
with his guidance, and his experience in dealership management
will be valuable as well. Mr. Turner is also currently a street
motorcyclist and will act in his capacity to ensure the inclusion
of the street motorcyclist into XArena plans with motorcycle safety
courses and community charity events planned throughout the year.
Ken
Lilly - Facilities Manager
Ken
Lilly's responsibilities will be divided evenly between the motocross
portion of the facility and the retail portion. Initial responsibilities
for the motocross section will be the collaboration with Mr. Keeler
in developing the design for the track areas and the creation
of the systems for maintaining the tracks themselves.
His primary responsibilities regarding the retail portion will
be to ensure that tenants handle the maintenance activities for
which they are responsible under their lease and in monitoring
and maintaining the physical plant. Mr.
Lilly has over two decades of riding and racing experience.
During his motocross career, he was the team manager for the East
Coast Kawasaki Suzuki race team. As part of his team responsibilities,
he single handily raised capital funds to insure the success of
the seventy-five-person race team.
Ryan
Marshall - Director of Marketing
Ryan Marshall will have direct day-to-day responsibility for all
marketing, public relations and promotions for the facility.
He will collaborate with Mr. Keeler on the development of promotional
approaches and work with the arena's marketing agency on the creation
and placement of marketing tools. He will also oversee the management
of the pro shop
Mr. Marshall has more than a decade's experience in management
in higher education plus extensive experience in amateur and professional
motocross promotion. Mr. Marshall has served as a Rider
Representative for the American Motorcyclist Association, is currently
a Vet A Class rider with more than 20 years of experience.
Mr.
Marshall also served as the Public Relations Manager for Clear
Channel Entertainment and the EA Sports Supercross Series in 1999-2000
where he had the opportunity to work with major media outlets
such as NBC Television, ESPN, Speed TV, MTV, and most major metropolitan
newspapers and television stations throughout the country.
His true passion for action sports, relationships within the industry and his genuine personality make him a unique and useful asset to emphasize and market the 'customer-friendly' approach the facility will feature.
Kevin Lynch - Director of Food Services
Kevin Lynch will have direct responsibility for all day-to-day
operation of the restaurant/food court/arcade profit center. He
will collaborate with Mr. Keeler on its physical and operational
design and will hire and manage all restaurant/food court/arcade
personnel.
Mr. Lynch has already spent more than a decade in restaurant management. His experience includes The Golden Nugget and Mirage Hotel, Red Hot and Blue, Portobello Yacht Club, and management positions at Lone Star Steakhouse, Charley's, Planet Hollywood and Jillian's Corporation. Most of his experience is in executive management and opening new restaurants and will prove to be an enormous benefit for XArena and the themed four-star restaurant that is planned for the facility.
John Misurelli - Controller
John Misurelli's primary responsibilities will be the creation of the company's accounting and bookkeeping systems, establishment of cash collection, management, and depositing procedures, the retention of an outside CPA firm, the creation and interpretation of periodic financial reports, and the management of the company's cash resources.
Mr. Misurelli has been a motocross rider for over a decade. His riding experience and enthusiasm will perfectly round out the management team.
